She had travelled far to reach this place. And now here at the end of her journey was nothing but ruin and despair.

For months she had followed the trail to the fabled lands of the Amaar where she had hoped to find asylum. She had hoped to find peace and rest from the hardships of the sundered land. all her life she had known nothing but war and fighting and suffering and death. No more she thought. So when she found a map to the lands of the Amaar, said to be beyond the reach of the demon hordes she had quickly made  plans.

The way had been hard. She had fought and killed many to reach this place and now here she was at last. And she stared about her in despair for there was nought here but death and decay.  And she knew then as she stood amongst the ruins that there was no going back. This was the end. Here she would lay down her sword and accept death. Finally there was an end.

Upon the fields of Amon-Ravu there is much death and suffering. There is the screeching clang of metal striking metal. Screams of agony. Howls of victory. All can be heard for miles around and all sane folk would do well to turn and flee. And the stench of death is everywhere. For on hte fields of Amon-Ravu a fiersome battle rages.

The hordes of the north clashed here with the first battalion of our lord bAdvibe two days ago. The battle rages on. How quickly it would have finished were it not for demon kinds uncanny ability to re-vitalise their broken bodies and rejoin the fight. But now the end appears to be in-site. It is clear now that bAdvibe has lost this day. His forces are ragged and the horns sound the retreat with a voice of thunder.

But for the Ellenvera there is no retreat. She hears the horns pierce the din of the battlefield but knows that she will die this day. Her soul will be consumed by her enemies and this knowledge gives her tired limbs new strength. She will not give up lightly. She is a queen amongst her kind. She will show these vermin such death and misery before they take her that songs will be sung of her forever more.

Death to the demon horde. Death to all....

'I shall endure. I shall endure. There is no option to fail.'

It was a mantra that she repeated over and over. She was single minded now in her quest. She could feel the heat of the demon. She was close. For her entire life she had sought the beast that had ate the souls of her family before her very eyes and left her. Mocking her. Laughed at her. Humiliated her.
